significant encounters

EPIPHANY PART 2

DURING the course of our lives we have lots of encounters with people.

Most of these turn out to be of little significance and are soon forgotten.

But other encounters turn out to be of great significance; they enrich our lives and sometimes change them utterly.

Sometimes, just one meeting with someone is all it takes and an immediate bond is formed.

The epiphany

The picture many people have
of how the wise men came to Bethlehem
goes somewhat like this.
They saw a bright star in the eastern sky and began to follow it.
The star guided them unerringly,
first to Jerusalem, where it temporarily disappeared,
and then to Bethlehem where they found the Child Jesus.
It sounds so very simple and very exciting.
