![]() I LOVE gardening! Whenever I can get a day to myself I love to spend it in my garden, weeding, pruning and generally enjoying the birds and critters who inhabit the garden. Being winter, I have recently set about pruning my roses, quite a job because I have 21 of them. Over the last couple of years I have been unable to give them a really good prune due to illness and other commitments but this year I was able to set aside a couple of days to get them done.

![]() WHEN working with our indigenous students in the Northern Territory, one young man, who pretty much only owned the clothes he stood up in, was able to buy some shoes, the only shoes he owned. They were his pride and joy. But when another student was in need of a pair of shoes,
he willingly gave up those shoes because he deemed his fellow student’s need to be greater. |
