prayer helps to forgive trespassers

IN 2006, 5 Amish school girls were killed and 11 wounded,
by a shooter in Pennsylvania.
The Amish community
not only comforted the shooter’s wife and children,
they forgave him.
Many people,
could not understand how they could forgive
as they mourned the death of their own innocent children.

st aidan - the apostle of northumbria

AIDAN
was born in Ireland in the early part of the seventh century and moved to Iona, not much is known about his early life.

St Aidan was the Bishop of Lindesfarne, an island in the North Sea, where he converted the Celts living in England’s far north.
Initially Aidan was sent as a missionary to Northumbria
at the request of King Oswald, not long after a
missionary called Corman – had returned claiming that
he had had no success in his missionary work, saying
the people were unteachable and too stubborn.
